Do I Need Planning Permission For A New Build?
Yes. Planning permission is required for all new build homes. Before you approach builders you'll need to have your planning permission approved along with architectural drawings and structural engineer details in place. Your architect or local planning authority can guide you through this process. We're happy to point you in the right direction.
How Long Does A New Build Take?
Every new build is different. The timeline depends on the size, complexity and specification of the project. As a rough guide most new build homes take between 9 and 18 months from groundworks to completion. We'll give you a realistic programme before work starts and keep you updated throughout every stage of the build.
How Much Does A New Build Cost?
New build costs vary significantly depending on the size, specification and complexity of the project. As a rough guide new build homes in Cornwall and Devon typically start from around £150,000 upwards. We'd rather have an honest conversation about budget upfront than waste your time or ours. Do I Need An Architect Before I Contact You?
Ideally yes. Having architectural drawings and planning permission in place before you contact us means we can provide a much more accurate quote and get your project moving much more quickly. If you're still in the early stages we're happy to recommend local architects we work with regularly across Cornwall and Devon.
How Do You Work Alongside My Architect And Structural Engineer?
We work closely with your architect and structural engineer throughout the entire build process. We attend site meetings, follow the agreed drawings and specifications and keep all parties updated throughout. Our goal is to deliver exactly what has been designed to the highest possible standard.
